Most Food Trailers in New Zealand are imported, mainly from China.
Since 2014, our company has dealt with a number of manufacturers, experiencing their advantages and setbacks, to gain a deeper knowledge of the best and most suitable trailer designs for the NZ market.
Besides working with the best manufacturers overseas, we understand that a key factor is our quality control checks (QC).
We have a robust quality control process so that expensive local repairs and alterations can be avoided.
For this reason, a comprehensive inspection is part of our commitment to achieve higher quality standards.
The Custom Build Manufacturing process
Typically, our custom build manufacturing process takes about 9 to 11 weeks to deliver your order to NZ.
First stage: is gathering information about your food business plan, to then develop floor plans for your review (5 views) and 3D (2 views).
After our client´s plans/ drawing approval, the manufacturing process starts.
Throughout this process, we keep up close communications with our manufacturer to assure that the build meets your layout requirements.
This includes an inspection:

Structural inspection: Chassis and frame

Interior inspection: Benches, shelving, wiring and walls

Exterior Inspection: Painting and finishing
Third stage: Finished product Inspection and pre-loading report

At NZ Food Trailers we work with high quality materials for our trailer range:
Rounded Trailers:

Chassis and tow frame: Galvanized steel, 100x60x4mm

Wheels, springs leafs and axel: 15” tyres with a safer wheel arch clearance.

7 leafs springs and solid steel 50x50mm axel.

Aluminum checkered plate floor

Body and Interior: Fibreglass molds and stainless steel framing, fitted with stainless steel enclosed benches (no gaps or tag welding)
Square Trailers:

Chassis and tow frame: Galvanized steel, 100x60x4mm

Wheels, springs leafs and double axle: 15” tyres with axel stabilizer + over ride disc brakes.

7 leafs springs and solid steel 50x50mm axle.

High traffic Fiberglass floor

Body and Interior: Reinforced Fibreglass + XPS insulation, fitted with stainless steel enclosed benches (no gaps or tag welding)
